Big problem at the castle! Or “How does Barbara Bush gets in to this parttteeeeee?!”

Filed under: Fashion, Good Times, Hard Times, Party, Politics — Lisa Paclet @ 7:09 am

I’s fashion geek! Great! Collette Opening! Drunks! Photos! Derek Lam cocktail! Shoes we don’t want! Barbara fucking Bush at Le Baron!

I forgot my camera last night, so there will no proof of all the fancy people Rory and I bumped shoulders with last night. So might as well take my word when I tell you that in a melting sea  Oliver Zahms, Margerita Missionis, Cobra-Kennedys, Miranda Julys, Busy Pedros and Anouck Lepères Rory’s face emerged dazed and confused to say: “…Some serious VIPs tonight, the United States President’s daughter is here…”

It’s funny to think she must have been there with some CIA/FBI sort of people too, but I suppose they were wearing their stealth suits, so we didn’t see them.

And so, feeling so carefully watched over we danced on. Some lady from California introduced me to vodka water, which is gross. I danced with myself  and danced with others, then lost&found my phone.
Rory lost her Charles Anastase coat. I feel her pain.

People spring up like mushrooms to absorb the colors and forms of their environment. Still so close to the ground we reflect the black and grays of Paris.  Sometimes the blues. No worries Anna Wintour says black & blue is ok.

All and all Not too many people were at these parties, it felt slightly different than the other years, a little more tense ,  maybe this over the top orgy is getting to an end, maybe everyone is at home checking their stocks. Or playing on a carpet with their kids.

For photos check here and here later in the day.
+ Maison Martin Margiela looks amazing!

La Boucherie

Filed under: Interests, Trip, art — Lisa Paclet @ 11:37 am

Today I’m taking a train and going to Italy.
I have some wonderful Feather head bands and a battery for an electric bike in my suitcase.

I also stopped at the FNAC to pic up some comic books or, “Graphic Novels”, if you want, and found this amazing book: La Boucherie by Bastian Vives

I bough it because of this dancing scene, and I will read it on the night train:

Eat Shit

HiHi,

So yasterday while walking to work and eating a banana, I saw an old lady with a blue wig and sunglasses, all crouch down, very close to the pavement.
She was picking up something from the ground, bit by bit, I could not yet see what.
I passed next and around her, then turned around to make sure It was really what i saw.
Eating shit!
She was
Picking up dog shit and eating it.

I AM NOT EVEN KIDDING.

I threw up a little bit in my mouth and then turned around to send some sms.

Burble

Filed under: art — Lisa Paclet @ 5:20 am

The Burble is a massive structure reaching up towards the sky, composed of approximately 1000 extra-large helium balloons each of which contains microcontrollers and LEDs that create spectacular patterns of light across the surface of the structure. The public, both audience and performer, come together to control this immense rippling, glowing, bustling ‘Burble’ that sways in the evening sky, in response to movements of the long articulated interactive handle bar at the base of the structure. The ephemeral experience exists at such a large scale that it is able to compete visually in an urban context with the buildings that surround it.

Laetitia Badaut Haussmann

Filed under: Experimental Film, Interests, People, art — Lisa Paclet @ 5:25 am

Laetita Badaut Haussmann has new a website showcasing her work!
It’s Unreal!
100 Percent.

What’s so exciting it’s blunt yet subtle nature of her work.
Selective Truth.
With this I feel very much inspired; compelled to try and evolve.
