Anna & Simone

Filed under: Food, Good Times, Interests, Italy, Politics, music — Lisa Paclet @ 3:28 pm

My little sister Anna and her Boyfriend Simone came to visit for the week end, to look for fat toads and gibson electric guitars! Simone found the guitar Anna said the toads were 400 euros so she had to let it rest.

Zachary made them Chili we talked about the school occupations in Italy, about berlusconi, and of course, about Obama.

Finding and Loosing chairs

Filed under: Food, Good Times, Hard Times — Lisa Paclet @ 6:34 am

Paris is slowly melting and it effects every little thing we do.
Yeasterday for beakfast I had  a big slice of watermellon, ate it while walking to work, with bright sunrays in my eyes, with juice running down my chin. It was so great I thought to do it again today, but such nice things should not be done too often.

During the course of the day I also found 2 nice wooden school chairs, and lost one Bouroullec brothers chair.

Atom_Robert Henke & Christopher Bauder

Filed under: Experimental Film, Food, Good Times, art, dream — Tags: , , — Lisa Paclet @ 7:49 pm

While looking for the crazy moving balls sculpture I saw today , and stumbled across this amazing performance made of balloons light and sounds.

I’m really excited about it.

Lately I’ve been cooking a lot and feeling good about our apartment. Buying flowers, white sheets and things from the brocante. Having People over. Sitting. or,
Watching the Dylan movie with sleepy cats and a sleepy Zachary.

+ These things exist too
+ About the Atom performance:

Performance for a matrix of 64 gas balloons, lights, and sound by Christopher Bauder & Robert Henke (aka Monolake)
A room is filled with deep, evolving noises from a four-channel sound system. An eight-by-eight array of white, self-illuminated spheres floats in space like the atoms of a complex molecule.
Through variable positioning and illumination of each atom, a dynamic display sculpture comes into being, composed of physical objects, patterns of light, and synchronous rhythmic and textural sonic events. Change, sound, and movement converge into a larger form.
The height of the helium balloons is adjusted with a computer-controlled cable, whilst the internal illumination is accomplished using dimmable super-bright LEDs, creating a pixel in a warped 8×8 spatial matrix.
The sonic events, the patterns of light, and the movement of the balloons are manipulated in real time as a 45-60 minute-long performance.

Bones and Muscles

Filed under: Food, Good Times, Hard Times, Interests, future — Lisa Paclet @ 5:06 am

We had the nice dinner last night. I made pasta with parcely, pasta with basil and a Loop of fireworks from found footage. We projected it on the celing while we were eating, I liked the effect it had.
Rory came back from Cosica with some insane stories about a serb guy going mad and beating people up on the beach; Andrew went back to America, Laetitia was filming things while Zachary and I were passing the micina (Barba Baffi) back and forth.

I feel tired and weird, I’ve been working a lot lately.
Anastasia posted some good manifestos.
It’s werid how we constantly need to remind ourselves that we are indeed free, and that the only thing we really have to carry around are our bones and muscles.

Ok.

+pictures of the fireworks will be up tonight.

Big Euro-Yard Bucks

Filed under: Fashion, Food, Good Times, People — Lisa Paclet @ 6:20 am

Man we sold so much stuff I couden’t’ belive it! People were lovin’ it! in the morning especially, when the pro yard buyers come around to gobble up anything that has a brand on it!
The Inner Seller came out in me , and by the end of the day I was exausted,  with tired limbs and tired voice but made close to 600 euros! Which I would say it’s pretty decent for a bunch o’ crap I wasn’t wearing anymore!

In the afternoon the friends came around, Francesca, Guilliome (in town from switzerland), Rory, Amelie Leslie and Andrew supported our cause and drank chapagne or Perrier in the sun.

To celebrate the slimming of my closet I took Zachary to eat at the Hotel du Nord! We had fancy Tuna, Coquilles St. Jaques, Cheesburger and Rose Sorbet (which sounds bizzarre but is actually really good) .
By 10 we were both passed out in bed. What a great day!
