Kate Moross and Alex Sushon for Simian Mobile Disco

Filed under: Animation, Experimental Film, Music Video, art — Lisa Paclet @ 8:10 am

I’m very excited about these 2 music vieo/performances that Kate Moross and Alex Sushon put togeather for Simian Mobile Disco.
The diffrent levels of stroboscopeie is what I like, and the movement in space. Using the projections not only as flat immages but as light which interacts with another layer of “phisical lights” which ar put around and in front of the projections, compleatly transforming space.

I know i’m not beeing clear.

Peripetics by Zeitguised

Filed under: Animation, Experimental Film, art — Lisa Paclet @ 5:03 am

Tom sent me this the other day for my birthday. I loved it, It’s really surreal.
I get the impression we should all calm down and enjoy our abilities.

From Zeitguised website:

Peripetics or The installation of an irreversible axis on a dynamic timeline

“Zeitguised made a piece in six acts for the opening exhibition at the Zirkel Gallery. It entails six imaginations of disoriented systems that take a catastrophic turn, including the evolution of educational plant-body-machine models and liquid building materials.”

Tom Schroeder, my teacher and friend, used to talk often about Igor Kovalyov. With much respect, almost a sort of fear.

I might be wrong.

Orange Dress

Filed under: Experimental Film, Fashion, Good Times, Hard Times — Lisa Paclet @ 5:15 am

Yeasterday Laetitia and I took a break in the middle of the day to check out the Chloé private sale.
It was a complete frenzy! The ladies were queuing up for hours at the time and dropping naked every 2 seconds.

Overwhelming, still we exited victorious! Letita got 2 tops and I found the only orange dress (the one Ania wore in the aw campaign of 07 !!Zachary!!)  in the whole place. Actually 2 ladies were fignting over it for a bit, almost ripped the thing apart while trying it on;  then dropped it on the floor. I, Like a hyena was watching the wole scene and waiting. Then ran for it.

Anyhow I’ m no Ania (Notice the photographer cropped my face out because it’s busted) but I’m still pretty excited.
